The second leg of the Bahamas Billfish Championships, sponsored by Rolex, normally attracts scores of seasoned and crafty deep-sea fishermen, all vying for the hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes and cash. Participants and spouses on this leg of the championship will have the opportunity to experience the nightlife scene, excellent shopping, and many dining options in Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco.
Anglers will be docking and fishing off the shores of Great Guana Cay while competing in the first leg of the BBC tournament. These are superb fishing grounds, and participants will also have much to do and see during their time on the cay.
Descendants, residents, and visitors come together at this annual event in a fun social atmosphere. Activities include a church service, entertainment by Bahamian artists, Old Gospel Concert, beauty pageants, a fashion show, Mr. Homecoming, basketball and volleyball tournaments. Games include Easter Egg Hunt, egg-in-the spoon race, dominoes, apple on a string, Hula-Hoop, conch cracking, balancing food/field basket on head for the elderly ladies. Bahamian food, drinks and pastries will be on sale. This event is held every year on Easter weekend.
This weekend features the ninth annual running of the marathon, half marathon, and 4-person relay, in addition to its eighth running and partnership with the 5K Susan G. Komen Bahamas Race for the Cure®. There will be an event for every fitness level, so come out and join us.
This Junior and Senior Round-Robin Basketball Tournament will feature secondary schools from throughout The Islands of The Bahamas. Games will be played during the day as well as in the evenings; tickets will be sold for individual games and a weekend pass is available at a discounted price.
