The Bahamas Yacht Show Returns in a Spectacular 2nd Edition

NASSAU, Bahamas (23 Jan.  2024) – Following the resounding success of the inaugural Bahamas Charter Yacht Show (BCYS) in February 2023, the Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation (MOTIA) is pleased to announce that the Association of Bahamas Marinas (ABM) is gearing up for an even more impressive second edition from 25-28 January 2024, at Nassau/Paradise Island's premier marinas. The BCYS aims not only to showcase the yachts chartering in The Bahamas but also to spotlight the country's diverse offerings.

Tourism officials, including the Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments & Aviation and Latia Duncombe, Director General, are expected to be in attendance.

Participants can anticipate four days of exclusive events generously hosted by partners and sponsors such as Margaritaville Beach Resort, British Colonial, John Watlings, Hurricane Hole Marina, Atlantis, and the Nassau Cruise Port. The event will charge a fee, selectively applicable to registered charter brokers, yacht crew, vendors, and sponsors.

"The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism is thrilled to lend its support to The Bahamas Yacht Charter Show, a highly anticipated event that showcases the wide array of yachting offerings across our archipelago,” said John Pinder II, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation “This event has attracted yachting professionals from around the globe, who have come to exhibit and network. They will spread the message of the countless unique experiences that await among our pristine islands, in this yachters’ paradise. I am eager to expand and elevate The Bahamas Yacht Charter Show to become the world's foremost yachting event—a must-attend experience."

With over 80 vessels currently registered at Bay Street Marina, Hurricane Hole, and Atlantis Marina, alongside 120 esteemed local and international brokers, the BCYS has firmly established itself as a pivotal event in the yachting calendar.

The ABM envisions the BCYS as a catalyst for new employment opportunities for Bahamians, positioning the nation prominently in the rapidly expanding $85 billion yachting industry. Building on the success of the first show, the ABM, in collaboration with the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA) and the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation, aspires to solidify The Bahamas as the premier yachting destination in the hemisphere.
