Director General Of Bahamas Ministry Of Tourism Leads Training Seminar For Oversees Sales And Marketing Team
At a recent Bahamas Ministry of Tourism USA Sales and Marketing seminar, Director General (DG) of the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation (MOTA) Mrs. Joy Jibrilu met with the team and took the opportunity to outline the business plan and priorities for Tourism in The Islands Of The Bahamas.
The three- day seminar brought together the brightest minds to strategize on how to achieve the Ministry’s goals moving forward into 2018.
The Director General expressed pleasure at the opportunity to meet with members of the team who are based across the U.S. including offices in New York, Atlanta, Florida, Houston and Toronto, Canada. In sharing the long- term objectives of the Ministry of Tourism, the DG said that, "the tourism industry must be driven by initiative, innovation, and creativity."
Other senior tourism executives at the seminar included the Deputy Director General, Mr. Ellison “Tommy” Thompson and Mrs. Valery Brown-Alce, Sr. Director, USA. Also presenting on Airlift Market Update and Strategy for The Bahamas was the Ministry of Tourism's General Manager, Airlift, Mrs. Faye Cash.
As a part of the three-day training program, presentations were also made by Mrs. Janet Cuffie-Sheppard, Director of Group Sales, North America who presented on the Groups/MICE Market, Mrs. Mia Lange, Sr. Director, Global Communications and Mr. Andre Miller, Director, Global Communications, who provided an overview of the MOTA Global Communications Initiatives and Social Media Programs.
