HURRICANE MATTHEW: LPIA Operating Normally Today
The Nassau Airport Development Company Ltd. wishes to advise the public that the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) is operating as normal today.
All airport stakeholders are currently making preparation for Hurricane Matthew.
Nassau airport stakeholders began meeting as of Friday, September 30, 2016 with The Bahamas Meteorological Office and met again this morning at 10:00 a.m. to assess the movement and status of Hurricane Matthew and its potential impact on LPIA.
A follow up meeting will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at which time the latest data with respect to the movement of Hurricane Matthew will determine when operations at LPIA might be suspended.
