Majority of Airports throughout The Islands of The Bahamas re-open following Hurricane Matthew

Statement by the Department of Civil Aviation on airport openings

The Department of Civil Aviation in conjunction with the Airport Authority and in consultation with the Department of Meteorology, advises the general public that effective Saturday the 8th October 2016, all airports in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas except for the Grand Bahama International Airport will be open for normal operations.

Grand Bahama International Airport will not open before Monday, October 10th. 

The general public will be advised of any new development.
