Statement on Anthem of the Seas

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation (BMOTA) is aware of inaccurate reports suggesting Royal Caribbean International’s Anthem of the Seas had visited The Bahamas prior to arriving to Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, NJ this morning. Persons onboard the vessel are presently being tested for coronavirus. 

Anthem of the Seas has not been in The Bahamas in more than a month. According to immigration records, the vessel was last docked in the country on January 2, 2020.

Currently, The Bahamas has no suspected, reported or confirmed cases of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus. Moreover, the Bahamas Ministry of Health is closely following the global development of this virus.
