What's in Progress?

The first step in the TourismToday.com overhaul was to complete a direct migration of the existing site content from Drupal 7 to Drupal 9. Now that the migration is complete, we can begin the process of updating the content and expanding important sections of the site.

In the next few weeks, we will be deploying the following style, content and functionality updates:

  • Statistics: Statistics content has been migrated to its own content type that will be password-protected in order to track user engagement
  • News, Videos and Events: The News, Video and Events pages will be enhanced with dynamic layouts and cleaned-up categories while featured sections on the home page will have enhanced visual appeal and interest
  • Careers: Content formerly shared under Industry Training will be reorganized under Careers with improved sub-page navigation and styling
  • Training: Industry training content will be reorganized to be more user-friendly (easier to navigate) with more visual appeal to increase engagement and provide a self-guiding platform to suggest relevant trainings for visitors
  • Content Pages: Across the site, all content pages - especially top-level navigation pages will undergo content restructuring to create more dynamic layouts with high-quality featured images and an improved user experience
